I read an article about Byju Raveendran, an Indian man that created a teaching application that has served millions of people in that country. In an interview, he said " Are you happier to see Friday evenings or Monday mornings?". This same morning, I read an article on Warren Buffet that asked if he would do differently to life a happier life. Being the ever inquiring analytic that he is, he gave us some figures. He said that if he were given a choice to pick out 100 balls from a barrel, the chances that he would be American are 5/100, the chances that he would be male are 50/50. He would be just as likely to be below average as above average in intelligence. In total he is already in the top 1% (though I may not fully agree with him, I do think he makes a point). Who we are and what we do are of utmost importance and we must always strive to better. However, we mustn't forget how lucky we are as well and that the definition of better is very variable. Between Raveendran and Buffet, I have enough food for thought on this working Monday. I hope that you have a nice day, yourself. As for me? Working towards these two goals is becoming more of a priority these days.
